You have mentioned the details of subsidy from NABARD but this is not know to NABARD guys, it there a way that you can help me, may be some kind of document or link to NABARD portal where the details are available and the officials can be pointed to the same.

Under Venture capital fund only Interest Free Loan up to 50% of Project cost( Max.Rs15 Lakh) is available from NABARD for EMU Breeding Farm & Interest subsidy up to 50% on bank loan portion may be availed if You pay regularly the installment of capital & interest their on . Hi Neel,

What is the current market of Emu Eggs and at what rate emu hatcheries are buying Emu Eggs in Maharashtra?
Just would like to brought to your notice last year the Emu egg rate was around Rupees 2000/- even more than that in Maharashra. Suddenly there is drastic fall in Emu egg rate.
Could you please advise the reason to rise of this situation? Is it simulated/fake market condition?

At present there is no regulated market for emu meat. You have to propagate the idea in the market & create the market for emu meat.Eggs are generally sold to hatchery owner as buy back agreement. Eggs can also be sold to five star hotels in big cities. That also you will have to find out. Emu oil is purchased by so many people. You may find out the same from network as it is available on net. Before starting Emu farm pl. meet the other farmers of your area who are already in this business & discuss with them . ok. Neel

It is not clear from your mail where you want to set up emu hatchery? Parent stocks are available in Maharashtra, Gujrath, Andra Prades etc. You have to create your own marketing channel. There is no regulated market for emu meat or oil. I can prepare a bankable Detail Project Report (DPR) for you to avail bank loan & Govt. subsidy.

Dear Neel,
I want to know if a 50 buffalo milking unit can be financed under DEDS in Aurangabad City..? (Since DEDS is a rural initiative). Secondly as you said that DEDS started in 1st sept and will continue till 11th 5-yr. plan. Is 31st march 2012 the last date of 11th plan or the 11th plan continues till the 12th plan is officially announced..? Will bankers be interested in processing such projects in 1st week of April 2012.
Also plz give your detailed email id & cell no for helping me on more clarification.

Unless circular�issued�by GOI , it is difficult to say anything. For further details it is better to contact local NABARD Bank official at district place or contact their Regional office at PUNE. I hope the scheme will continue for further 1-2 years.�You can avail subsidy for 10 animals and not for 50 animals.

Hi Sir,

This is Deepak Gajare, i would like to start a dairy farm near Bhusawal, Dist. Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Would be interested in meeting you for detailed discussions on various aspects of the dairy farming including set up, maintenance, financing, breed selection and feeding pattern and subsidy issues. size of the dairy animals could be 15-20 at the start and then could be increased up to 100 or so in coming times, based on the experience.

Hi Neel,
I have sent you a message that I want to start layer hen project. I need help in preparing a project report for the same. My farm has three sheds of size 100' x 20'. The height is 8'. Please tell me how many birds can be housed in this space. What should be the quotation for the cages and installation of the birds? Venkys are quoting Rs.165/- per laying bird. The bird feed would cost Rs.2.50 per day per bird.
Will Nabard give loan for the project? What is the incentive offered by the Government?

What do you mean by Poultry ? Layer or Broiler ?It is better to have training in poultry farming at any Agil./Vety. college/university/NGO/KVK/Vety. Dept. ok
Then decide what to do & how to do?
# shed of 100x20x3 = 6000 sq.ft. So 6000 broiler bird can be accommodated. You can avail an fom any Nationalised/RRB/ Pvt. bank. NABARD is not directly financing.For subsidy etc pl. log on my blog spot.

GOI has banned Quail Farming/trading/Breeding etc unless you have specific license from them, it is not allowed.Detail about quail farming is already given on my blog spot.
