Nahata College in Bhusawal, Maharashtra had organized an event for the farmers - Farmers Gathering ( Melawa) - at Kinhi village in Bhusawal taluka on 26th Dec., 2010.
I was invited to be the chief guest for that event. In my keynote speech at the event, I talked about various bankable schemes of NABARD that are available for the farmers.
This event was mentioned in a Marathi newspaper SAKAL on 27th Dec., 2010 (see the clipping below).
Recently, I was invited to give a talk at Nahata College, Bhusawal (Maharashtra, India) to the students of Economics and Commerce from final year degree course and post-graduate course.
I talked about Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) to help the students to understand the techno-economics of the dairy business, and to motivate them to do dairy farming in rural areas using their scientific knowledge.
I believe this will help in the upliftment of the rural farming as the farmers will get to see and learn from the best scientific practices being applied in the dairy farming.
