The National Livestock Mission (NLM) has been formulated by subsuming and modifying 7 Centrally Sponsored and 7 Central Sector Schemes of Government of India. Budget provision for the scheme during the year 2016-17 is Rs. 292.00 crores.

Indicative subsidy ceilings under the component of ‘Entrepreneurship Development and Employment Generation’ and sub components: Poultry Venture Capital Fund, Integrated Development of Small Ruminants and Rabbits (IDSRR), Pig Development, Salvaging of Male Buffalo Calves, are given in the operational Guidelines for NLM.
